Agnieszka Gryz

Student at Lund University, one of the largest and most respected Scandinavian universities. Social activist. Previously interned at Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) and Harvard Business Review Poland. Volunteers coordinator at Global Warning Conference in Szczecin. Hopes to pursue career in climate and energy diplomacy. Alumna of European Academy of Diplomacy.

Weronika Adamczak

Student at Jagiellonian University and activist. Volunteer at COY14 and at COP24 (delegation of India). Her main goals are raising awareness about climate change in the society and engaging youth in climate policy-making. She does it in Silesia by organizing workshops for youth and events like LCOY. She believes that we can achieve change only through cooperation and mutual understanding.

Magdalena Szczepanek

Student at 1st High School in Tychy and youth climate activist. Member of Fridays For Future Poland movement in Katowice. Participates in Oxford debates in the school’s club and runs the school’s cafe.

Beniamin Strzelecki

Student at New York University Abu Dhabi. Graduate of the Eastern Mediterranean International School and the Watson Institute. Engaged in non-formal education and environmental issues. Founder of Rok w Bok, a platform helping youth to plan their gap year, which was selected as finalist of the European Youth Award 2019 competition.

Zuzanna Borowska

An active member of YOUNGO. A youth representative during a number of United Nations sessions on climate change – including the 2018 UN Climate Change Conference (COP24). Environmental and social activist. The organizer of Bielsko-Biała Model United Nations 2019 and a social project called “Open Minds Project”. She also organized several climate strikes. She deeply believes in the idea of dialogue and cooperation and she is planning to pursue a career in diplomacy in the future. She dedicates her limited free time to music, traveling and contemporary dance.

Kasia Smętek

Student at Jagiellonian University, currently on an exchange at SciencesPo. She co-organized COY14 – a young event held before COP24, in which she participated as a volunteer and an observer. Kasia has also taken part in meetings such as the PreCOP and Abu Dhabi Climate Meeting. While preparing the Youth Climate Summit she had a chance to collaborate with Jayathma Wickramanayake – the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth. Last month she also represented Polish youth during the UN Climate Summit in New York. 

Lena Brodzik

The youngest member of the team. Environmental activist and organizer of the Youth Climate Strike. She represented youth during both local and international events, e.g. the City Council Session on the Urban Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change or the European Economic Congress. In addition to saving the world, she is actively engaged in a dance theater group called “Movement”. She is also passionate about oceanology and marine biology.
